Comments:  Thank you for your efforts in making this web site a reality-It has brought much appreciated memories of how PS135 changed my life-Being a new imigrant from Honduras and learning English by hearing it in school required the patient and good will of many of my classmates. My life saver was Mrs Calman: who broke my heart when she marry to Mr. Trell: she took a lost soul and directed him in the direction I now find myself. Because of her efforts, I was allowed to take the examn to A&D and together with Cynthia Best were accepted to the first class in that new building on 2nd Ave and 57 St. The exposure to the Arts at A&D and Juliard's, lead me to meet other fantastic people who took interest in my goals. Now, in the best years of my career, I'm teaching my young ones to appreciate thier education and see that they don't loose faith in people. For an that's worth, or like we say here in Philadelphia, not for nothin' , ....Thank you PS135 and all the teachers who put up with me, and that stern, sturdy, challenging, no nonsense Principal who got Elenor Rooselvelt to visit our school and inspire us look at the larger challenging world.
